Tips To Get Your Daytime Makeup Look Evening Ready in Minutes!
| Pump up your blah workday look to create an evening-chic look |
| No need to do a full makeup reboot when you need to go from the office to a swanky dinner. We asked makeup pros how to go from a basic everyday face to a sophisticated night look by adding a few (three, to be exact) new products. |
Brush Love: BrushLab Hair Brushes
Hair care is such an important part of a woman's beauty routine but I fee as though certain parts of hair care get over looked. I've seen so many women using rough or inadequate brushes and using them on wet hair or just carelessly ripping a brush through their tangles. This often leads to a lot of breakage and split ends. It's really important to not only brush your hair properly and take you time with it, but also to use good, quality brushes to prevent damage and keep hair looking beautiful and healthy.
Well, I was sent some products from Brush Love to try out and let you guys know what I think of them. All the brushes sent to me are by BrushLab. I'll give you my detailed opinion of each brush but I wanted to first tell you that I love the look of each brush. They are bright, colorful and fun-not your average looking brushes, to be sure!
BrushLab Pretty Pink Dual Mirror Brush
This one I liked immediately for a couple of reasons. Pink is my favorite color so that was an automatic plus for me. This brush is also a really cool design- it's pink and black with a round head. There's a mirror on the back of the head which is so handy to have! This is a fabulous brush to take in your purse, gym bag or to pack away for a trip. It's gentle and great for styling or regular de-tangling.
Price: $9.98
BrushLab Fresh Large Paddle Brush
A brush I don't think I could live without now that I've tried it. Not onl is this a fabulous detangling brush but I use it to blow dry my hair straight and the bristles make lifting the hair at the roots so much easier. It helps me achieve a blow out with alot of volume. The design of this brush makes it wonderful for medium-long hair that is fine or thick. My hair is quite thick and this goes through my hair smoothly with 0 trouble. Love it!
Price: $10.98
BrushLab Blueberry Oval Cushion Boar Bristle Brush
This brush is superbly gentle. It didn't go all the way through my hair and I had to brush my hair in sections with this brush but it's a wonderful "finishing" brush. It smoothed my hair out and left it looking really shiny and smooth. This is made with premium natural boar bristles. There's no chance of damaging or breaking your hair with this brush and it would be perfect for anyone with finer hair.
Price: $11.98
BrushLab Ceramic Flow Thermal Round Barrel Hair Brush
Wow....this brush cut my blow dry time in half. The barrel of this brush is ceramic which allows it heat up quickly and produces uniform heat. The barrel is also aerated so air flows through the brush. This brush is designed to make blow drying easier and faster. It also reduces frizz and made my hair a lot shinier. My hair usually takes forever to dry because it's so thick but this brush really made the whole process alot smoother and shorter. Round brushes are also great for adding body to your blow out!
Price: $12.98
All of these brushes are available at Brush Love. Also, for A Little More Beautiful Readers- take advantage of this awesome coupon. Get a 40% discount on your purchase, Just enter blog40 during checkout. This offer expires on 11-25-09 and does not apply to the Mason Pearson brand.
